how i’m creating disorder
turn phone horizontal if you’re on the phone x
dear diary,
i hear voices around me squealing what seems to be my name, yet resembling the cries of humans in agony.
i feel vibrations throughout the room, as the unending uproar of applause prolongs, disturbing the peace that lives within my mind.
i can’t take it.
this moment should be a picture of paradise for me.
the people around me seemingly praise me with words my brain currently is unable to comprehend.
a vision of success one may say,
yet tell me why underneath it all, i feel grey.
from society’s perspective, victory is painted as others seeing you.
but are you truly winning if you’re unable to see it yourself?
for me, success is when I am able to acknowledge how far i have come.
your internal admiration for yourself should linger like a song you’re unable to get out of your head.
